Based on peer voting and independent research by Law & Politics, Holly has twice been named as a Texas Super Lawyer, a distinction limited to the top five percent of attorneys in the state. She was also selected as a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation which provides funding to enhance the system of justice in Texas. Holly is married to William J. Tucker, patent attorney and graduate of GMI and Franklin Pierce Law Center. Holly is a member of the State Bar of Texas Family Law Section, Dallas Bar Association Family Law Section, Texas Academy of Family Law Specialists, Collaborative Law Dallas, the Collaborative Law Institute of Texas, Attorneys Serving the Community and the College of the State Bar of Texas. Holly began her legal career in the litigation department of Hughes & Luce (now K&L Gates), where she handled both commercial litigation cases and numerous high-dollar, complex family law cases. Holly has volunteered hundreds of hours as a pro bono attorney in family law cases. In 2006, she decided to dedicate her practice exclusively to family law and founded The Schymik Law Firm. Holly graduated from Tulane University’s Newcomb College with a B.S. degree in Psychology and from the University of Texas School of Law, where she graduated with honors. During law school, Holly was a Teaching Quizmaster, instructing first-year law students in legal research and writing. She interned for Justice Nathan Hecht of the Texas Supreme Court as well. Holly has spoken at seminars presented by the Dallas Bar Association, Texas Collaborative Law Council, University of Houston Law Foundation and North Dallas Bar Association. She has also authored articles published by the James Publishing Company and Dallas Bar Association.
